This is the first of Christie's novels。 I was intrigued to read this one after I finished the Disappearance of Mrs。 Christie。 The way it was presented in the other book was that Agatha always was in competition with her older sister and her sister pretty much told Agatha should never be 'smart' enough to write a murder mystery。 So the dare was on。 I loved this novel because I kept going back and forth with who the killer was。。。and really was shocked at the end。 This makes it a great book!!! 4 starsماجرای اسرار آمیز در استایلز اولین رمان اگاتا کریستی محسوب می شود که در ۲۹ سالگی و در سال ۱۹۱۹ ( سال پایان جنگ جهانی اول) نوشته شده و این اثر آغازیست بر مجموعه ای از داستان های پلیسی و معمایی این نویسنده بزرگه داستان های جنایی در قرن بیستماین اثر به عنوان اولین رمان جنایی اگاتا کریستی یک عیب دارد و آن هم طولانی بودن و ابتلا نویسنده به هجو و بیهوده گویی ، در بخش هایی از داستان است که مشخصا در سایر آثار این نویسنده دیگر شاهد این حجم طولانی از نوشتار و هجو نیستیم
Lara,
Eu sempre fico impressionada como a Agatha Christie consegue apresentar todas as pistas durante o livro e fechar tudo no final。 Sempre me faz de trouxa!
Jeannie,
The amount of effort in describing what is happening is unmatchable。
Jasmine,
I feel like… I have no thoughts。 It was fine。 I’m still confused but it’s better than some detective novels I’ve read。 Meh。 Wouldn’t rave about it but wouldn’t rule it out。 I did enjoy following the investigation but I just feel like I’m too tired to care much。
Raven,

Reese,
The insight of humanity and emotions related to experiences the characters have gone through, really tie things together。
Bimal,
If you're reading this after reading many other Christi books then there is a high chance that you will feel a bit underwhelmed。 Clearly feels like that it was her earlier work and much less polished。 Didn't find some of the things relevant, in particular the trial。I think its a good book to start with Poirot but don't expect similar standards to the likes of some of her more refined books。 If you're reading this after reading many other Christi books then there is a high chance that you will feel a bit underwhelmed。 Clearly feels like that it was her earlier work and much less polished。 Didn't find some of the things relevant, in particular the trial。I think its a good book to start with Poirot but don't expect similar standards to the likes of some of her more refined books。 。。。more

What fun! Enjoy the debut of a wonderfully smart series。

Brennan Klein,
I think Agatha Christie invented Hastings so we could feel smarter than at least ONE of the detectives。
Dinneread,
Phew, the matter is always murderer。 What a relationship, double relationship。 It just how two lovebirds fallen into dark crows。
Rue&Waffles (Ivana Party),
This felt like I was watching an episode of Sherlock and he knew what was going on while both Watson and us, the audience, aren't let in on the clues。 I had no idea what was going on the entire time and it was muddy and confusing。 But it's the first poirot book, so i know they get better (i hope), I am planning on reading Death on the Nile soon2。5 stars This felt like I was watching an episode of Sherlock and he knew what was going on while both Watson and us, the audience, aren't let in on the clues。 I had no idea what was going on the entire time and it was muddy and confusing。 But it's the first poirot book, so i know they get better (i hope), I am planning on reading Death on the Nile soon2。5 stars 。。。more

The Mysterious Affair at Styles was Agatha Christie's first published mystery, it features Hercule Poirot。 I am embarking on a mission to read all of Christie's mysteries featuring Poirot and Marple。 This was a truly fun beginning。 The Mysterious Affair at Styles was Agatha Christie's first published mystery, it features Hercule Poirot。 I am embarking on a mission to read all of Christie's mysteries featuring Poirot and Marple。 This was a truly fun beginning。 。。。more
John Haydon,
Just brilliant。 You have to concentrate a lot to try and figure it all out。
Reuben,
i look forward to hearing much more from Poirot, he is truly a magnificent detective。
Kathleen Moy,
This is my least favorite of the Agatha Christie books I’ve read。 I found it challenging to follow the story and didn’t find the characters very interesting。 Worth reading but I would recommend others of her mysteries before this one。

Ooh yes, twists and turns and a baffled narrator。 Great。 I love the character of Hercule Poirot。

A fun read to see how it all started for Hercule Poirot。

This is where Poirot began! Christie’s most famous detective started his investigations (at least on paper) with The Mysterious Affair at Styles。 I have already read a couple of his other adventures, so I am a bit out of order。 I figured it was time to go back and tackle them the way Christie intended! This was a strong start and I can see how it appealed enough to become a series。 It is fun to follow the quirky behavior and deductive reasoning of our protagonist。 While it is not always easy to t This is where Poirot began! I love the way Christie encourages you to see everything as a clue, then still surprises you in the end! A fun read about a poisoning in a dysfunctional family。

Alexandra Wilson,
This was an incredibly gripping and amusing book。 And I have to admit, this has shot it’s way up the list to being my favourite Poirot book!
aisha,
fun! honestly think that actually reading it would have been better than listening to it so i would be able to actually keep track of the clues but to be honest just listening along is fun too。 sometimes i refuse to think!!
Sagrario Libertad,
Primera novela dónde aparece nuestro querido Poirot。 Agatha Christie lo volvió a hacer, nos mantuvo formulando teorías que nada tenían que ver con el final。 Mi autora consentida。
